Shower Curtain Liners

When you purchase a shower curtain decide whether a liner will also be needed. Some designer shower curtains are meant to simply act as an outside stylistic feature and not to prevent water from spilling out all over the floor. These shower curtains are generally a thinner material which will not stand up to the heavy water pressure should the shower head be pointed in direction of the curtain. A shower curtain liner can be a simple solution to the problem. The liner is placed in between the designer shower curtain and the bath itself. Often times the designer curtain will hang outside the bath while the liner will remain on the inside of the tub directing the water flow back towards the drain. If you do opt to buy a shower curtain liner, be sure that it covers the entire open area of the bath so as to avoid any possible water damage. Even if only a small area is exposed to water leakage over time water damage can occur. This can result in costly repairs to your bathroom sooner than necessary. It would be unfortunate to discover mold in your bathroom simply because you failed to purchase adequate protection in a proper shower curtain liner. To avoid this, make sure the liner is of sturdy enough material to withstand the water pressure from a direct spray out of the shower head and make sure that the liner covers the entire exposed side of the bath.
